Lets break down the Addiction topic firstly.
Psya4 Addiction Possible Questions Overview
Did I mention I hate addiction?. Breaking this table down we can see all the possible questions this topic has and we then put this into our predictions table to see when each has come up and when.
My Psya4 Addiction Predictions For June 2015There is so many possible variations of questions which can come up its ridiculous and this table doesn’t even include them all. Looking at this however there is a handful of questions I would personally be focusing more on than others. Remember however they generally give you 3 questions in the exam so I will try give you a handful to focus on on simply giving 3 is really risky.
- The biological approach to smoking/gambling: Its not one thats had much focus on. It appeared as a 4 marker yes but with this whole stolen van situation I’m going to go out on a limb and say its going to make an appearance in some form whether its initiation, maintenance of relapse.
- The Cognitive approach to smoking/gambling: Again its one that’s not appeared in a while. Last appeared in June 2012 so its overdue an appearance in some form similar to the one above (be it initiation, maintenance or relapse).
- Media influences on addictive behaviour: Hasn’t appeared in ages (or ever?). I would revise this.
- Biological/Psychological/Public health interventions: All 3 are equally possible in my eyes although biological or psychological probably a bit more likely than public health interventions considering it appeared in June 2013.
Yes there is a lot – but that;s Addiction for you. Those are my Addiction June 2015 predictions and the ones I would give particular focus to.
