Psya3 Aggression Predictions June 2014

Hey folks, Saj here from Loopa Psychology.

Continuing on from my AS predictions I’m now going to be moving onto my A2 predictions as promised. My plan is to do this firstly for the topics I have experience in such as Aggression, Sleep and Biological Rhythms and Relationships and if possible I will look at the other topics too depending on if there’s enough demand for them. As always, these are merely my thoughts on what I would personally be banking on but you should always go in learning all the material.

A* Model Essay Answers For Psya3 Aggression

Also If you’re stuck with writing your essays and need revision help, be sure to check out my Psya3 Aggression book. It has model essay answers for every possible question that can be asked in this psya3 aggression topic, the same ones I used to get 100% in Psya3.

You can also get a list of all the Past Psya3 questions here for Aggression so you can make your own predictions too if you wish.

So heres my predictions on the Psya3 Aggression topic for this June 2014.

My Predictions For Psya3 Aggression

  • Neural and/or Hormonal explanations for aggression
  • A specific or broad question on Psychological explanation for aggression. If its specific it will be based on one of the three available such as institutional aggression, deindividuation or social learning theory.

A possible outside chance of appearing is:

  • Group displays of aggression

An Explanation For My Psya3 Aggression Predictions

A question on neural or hormonal explanations last appeared in June 2011. Since then it hasn’t reappeared at all in any form. However almost every other possible question in the Psya3 topic has made an appearance, even twice at times as a smaller question or full essay. This leads me to believe this question is well overdue an appearance now and odds place this question as the front-runner in my books.

As for Psychological explanations – My gut tells me it may try and be more specific such as Institutional aggression, deindividuation or on social learning theory. It may even be a smaller question alongside a bigger one such as neural/hormonal explanations possibly if its not a full essay question itself. The last Psychological explanation question was a broad question which was asked in June 2012 and allowed you to pick one of these 3 explanations. However in January 2012 a narrowed down specific question on Institutional aggression came up as a 4 marker and theres nothing to stop them asking a specific question on one of the three possible theories as a full essay.

I think theres a small chance group displays may pop up again even though its been asked as a 4 marker in June 2013. It was last asked as a full essay question in January 2012 (I actually sat this paper when I did Psya3). That makes it over 2 years since it last appeared which isn’t huge considering we only have exams in June now but this change only came into effect recently.
