The next set of 2017 predictions for AQA psychology is for PSYA3 Aggression. Just to clarify this is for students retaking their PSYA3 exams (old spec) in 2017, not for students studying the new aggression topic as part of the new specification. Also to highlight an important point – this will be the last chance for you to retake the old specification as after this point, if you wish to improve your psychology grade you will need to study the new spec instead from the beginning – there are no more retakes after this exam window so it’s really important you nail these exams.
Disclaimer: When it comes to my predictions I’m merely sharing my thoughts/opinions on what I think may be coming up for the exams. Sure I have a decent track record but I can be wrong too. You would be silly to go into an exam revising only my predictions so as your teacher always no doubt tells you – revise everything.
Download A* Model Essays For PSYA3 Aggression
If you are retaking Aggression for PSYA3 then you will need all the help you can get and I would highly recommend my aggression model essays ebook. This covers every single possible question you can be asked in the exam and provides you with model essay answers for every possible question. They have been proven to consistently score within the top band – no other resource has come close and prior to this ebooks release in 2012 it was virtually unheard of to score full marks. This resource changed that however (look at all the Loopa student pics). You can download this instantly by clicking the cover image on the right here.

Looking at this table there are 3 clear possible essays in my eyes which are significantly overdue. I would always revise everything but here are the three I would personally focus and prepare for more going into these exams – heres a video explaining my choices too:
- Neural and hormonal mechanisms in aggression – This hasn’t come up as a full essay since June 2011 so it is well overdue an appearance.
- Genetic factors in aggressive behaviour – This is my second favourite to make an appearance. It last appeared in the June 2013 exam window and it hasn’t popped up in any form for 3 exam windows now.
- Evolutionary explanations of human aggression including infidelity and jealousy – A question on this hasnt come up since January 2013 when the old January exam windows existed. The fact that an evolutionary explanation essay for group displays came up last year makes me think this is a little less likely than the two above but it would be the third one I would prepare for the most.
