What this book covers:
This book covers every single possible essay answer for the AQA Psychology Psya4 Schizophrenia topic. The full list of essays is at the bottom. These are the same essays I used to get full marks for this paper myself. The book also explains a unique way of approaching some of the questions here to make your life easier as well as how to memorise all your essay answers more easily.
How This Book Helps You:
This Psya4 Schizophrenia book will save you literally weeks of revision. Instead of reading the textbooks and then trying to source all the information to write your essays; you have essays here that have been proven to score you in the top banding of marks. All you need to do is then tinker and adapt them to suit yourself. This saves literally weeks of revision time as your not having to source all the possible AO1, AO2 and AO3 information and then try and figure out how to put it into essays and structure it all. This book presents all the information in a nicely spread out well structured way that will allow you to pick out key paragraphs and sections to form your own essay answers. The book follows an easy way of reading the essays with theory first followed by evaluation so you can see where the split is to pick out the elements you want.
The book also explains how you memorise all your essays using a method I devised that allowed me to walk into the exam knowing every single essay and being able to recall them at will. You will need to adapt it to suit yourself but my method is full explained here too in a simple to understand way.
My Thoughts On This Paper:
Psya4 I found much easier than Psya3 and at this point I knew I had a winning revision technique that I could simply repeat for this paper. As two thirds of it was dependant on essay answers I felt more confident having sat Psya3 and gained 100%. Personally going through the specification I could see that this topic was just simply much easier in general. The reason I think this was is because I chose topics that I could relate to better. Take Psya4 Schizophrenia for example (no im not schizophrenic!) the models of explanation and treatment were based mainly on theories we had already learn’t about to some degree in Psya2. The essays we needed to learn boiled down to Psychological and Biological explanations and treatments; this was all stuff we had touched upon on paper 2 and had some foundation of knowledge to develop on. The other topics I glanced over and they appeared to lean us towards learning new information/concepts from the beginning which would require more work. My Schizophrenia answers I’m quite proud of as I took a very unique approach which I believe no teachers promote yet it is the most easiest way of passing this paper. My answers were also some of the most well written too and as soon as I came out of this exam I knew I had aced it.
